Wairaurahiri Jet full day trip from Te AnauDepart Te Anau with Trips and Tramps in style for the guided 87 km journey to Clifton. Here you meet the Wairaurahiri Jet boat team who will drive the 32 km gravel road through the Lilburn Valley to arrive at Lake Hauroko, New Zealand's deepest lake. Now starts your intrepid 74 km journey into the heart of remote Southern Fiordland National Park, across mysterious Lake Hauroko and down the Wairaurahiri River. On arrival the isolated South Coast we take time to explore the rugged southern coast and enjoy a tasty kiwi barbeque at the Waitutu lodge before we proceed on the return journey, first by jet boat and then bus to Te Anau. What to BringWhile we will provide you with a local knowledgeable guide, lunch and tea/coffee refreshment there are a few things you will need to bring warm clothes, rain jacket, insect repellent, sun block, camera and sunglasses. |
