Fiordland's best jet-boating experience! The jet boat was invented to access areas that other boats, well, just can't. This trip shows you what they're capable of and the breath-taking feats of nature as you jet boat through native forests down one of the remotest rivers in the Southern Hemisphere. Join Trips and Tramps for a full day transport package from Te Anau.
Wairaurahiri Jet full day trip from Te Anau
Depart Te Anau with Trips and Tramps in style for the guided 87 km journey to Clifton. Here you meet the Wairaurahiri Jet boat team who will drive the 32 km gravel road through the Lilburn Valley to arrive at Lake Hauroko, New Zealand's deepest lake.
Now starts your intrepid 74 km journey into the heart of remote Southern Fiordland National Park, across mysterious Lake Hauroko and down the Wairaurahiri River.
On arrival the isolated South Coast we take time to explore the rugged southern coast and enjoy a tasty kiwi barbeque at the Waitutu lodge before we proceed on the return journey, first by jet boat and then bus to Te Anau.
What to Bring
